What is your ID?

Every time you look into your eyes in a mirror, what do you see..?
Every heart beat, every breath mumbles something to you,

Above that fancy designation and flamboyant paycheck, what do you see in yourself..?
Beyond the worth of your signature and the authority it commands, there is something more to you,

Are you yet to find yourself? What your is Identity?

Temple Steps

Not to call me an atheist but the concept of God has always surprised me. How every individual connects with or perceives him is amazing and unique many times. And here I was sitting outside on the lonely steps leading to a still lake and a beautiful temple across it. The occasional wind was creating waves across the lake which reflected the beauty of setting sun light. I could see a group of people rushing towards the temple, they looked more of tourist and less of pilgrims. And here I was sitting introspecting about the concept of God. In that grace of sun, ease of wind, calmness of that lake I just closed my eyes.

I felt wasn't that him out there? Wasn't he there? Probably that explains why I was sitting outside the temple...

Life is a road !

And life is the road
And I wanna keep going
Love is a river and
I wanna keep flowing
Life is a road now and forever a
Wonderful journey.

Meri Titli

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with heart.

I wandered again...

Shoot, shoot, shoot everything which comes my way...well, with my camera I mean. That is what I decided to do during my recent trip to Thrissur, which also happens to be the cultural capital of Kerala. As the Chinese proverb goes "One time seen is better than one hundred times heard about", this time I just wanted to walk, stroll, just wander and see...

Vadakkunnathan Temple. Vadakkunnathan simply means Lord of the North aka Lord Shiva. As a matter of fact, the name "Thrissur" itself is an abridged version of Thrisivaperoor, which means "a city named after Lord Shiva". This is one of the structure which symbolizes this city. And yes, the picture above is not of the temple, it is only one of its entrance gates.

The Rice Bazar. This market is more than 200 years old. Impressive isn't? This place was abuze with activities like "you blink and miss it ". I would like to return there again and spent some more time clicking...

Our Lady of Dolours Basilica or Puttan Palli as it is known locally is another landmark of Thrissur city. It is famous not just for the magnificient Gothic style architecture but also for a rich history. I heard that there is a watch tower at the backyard of this church from where one can see the entire Thrissur city. But they don't allow cameras there so..

This is only a portion of the city. Well, I had to leave something for the next time.. :-)

Growing in the Dark...

All growth is a leap in the dark, a spontaneous, unpremeditated act without benefit of experience.

Abandoned Anchor...

I found this abandoned anchor while walking on the still shores of Dhanushkodi. It was lying there as if the ferry just ditched it and left it behind before setting out into the sea, as if she had no intention of ending her voyage. This whole thought of the ferry and this anchor brought a dreamy smile on my face. The reason for that smile was obvious. Many times in our life we slow down, we stop and put an anchor on our dreams, aspirations and desires for various reasons. That trip you planned, that road you wanted to take, the life you wanted to live never happened because you listened more to the situations around you and lesser to your heart. And here I was standing before an anchor which was throw out and left behind. As if I was witnessing the courage of that ferry which ventured out on its own into the ocean. There might be danger out there but hey, she will face them on her own terms. And that was the message or philosophy which was being conveyed.

And it is also the philosophy behind what I call the Roving Spirit, which refuses to put an anchor because it strongly believes that we all have only one life and it is meant to be lived and not just spend. So, if there is something out there which really your heart tells you, then don’t wait, don’t listen to others, just reach out and grab it. Keep Thumping…

The Silent Sea

Everybody

"So everybody, everywhere
Don't be afraid, don't have no fear
I'm gonna tell the world, make you understand
As long as there'll be music, we'll be comin' back again !!"

Did I really hear that song there or I felt I heard it..??
