Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!" — Hunter S. Thompson

Abandoned Anchor...
I found this abandoned anchor while walking on the still shores of Dhanushkodi. It was lying there as if the ferry just ditched it and left it behind before setting out into the sea, as if she had no intention of ending her voyage. This whole thought of the ferry and this anchor brought a dreamy smile on my face. The reason for that smile was obvious. Many times in our life we slow down, we stop and put an anchor on our dreams, aspirations and desires for various reasons. That trip you planned, that road you wanted to take, the life you wanted to live never happened because you listened more to the situations around you and lesser to your heart. And here I was standing before an anchor which was throw out and left behind. As if I was witnessing the courage of that ferry which ventured out on its own into the ocean. There might be danger out there but hey, she will face them on her own terms. And that was the message or philosophy which was being conveyed.
And it is also the philosophy behind what I call the Roving Spirit, which refuses to put an anchor because it strongly believes that we all have only one life and it is meant to be lived and not just spend. So, if there is something out there which really your heart tells you, then don’t wait, don’t listen to others, just reach out and grab it. Keep Thumping…

Welcome to the Ghost Town !
A flourishing township which lost itself in an unexpected and a sad manner while leaving behind what we call a Ghost Town today. All came to an abrupt end when a tsunami whipped away everything. Crazy games Gods play sometimes. While walking on those corridors of silence, I could feel the pulse of a town which was vibrant and full of life once upon a time. Again silence was speaking to me and I could hear it whisper...

Rather be Ashes
I would rather be ashes than dust.
I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot.
I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.
The function of man is to live, not to exist.
I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them.
I shall use my time.
- Jack London

Lost, somewhere...
"Pata hai bahut saal pehle yahan ek jungle hota tha. Ghana bhayanak jungle. Phir yahan ek shaher ban gaya, saaf suthre makan, seedhe raaste, sab kuch tareeke se hone laga... Par jis din jungle kata, us din parindo ka ek jhund yahan se hamesha ke liye ud gaya... kabhi nahi lauta... main un parindo ko dhoond raha hoon, kisi ne dekha hai unhe? dekha hai??"

The Splendid Light
The light that comes from the sun illuminates the whole world; and that which is in the moon, and in the fire; know that light to be Mine.
-Bhagavad Gita 15:12
(The splendor of the sun, which dissipates the darkness of this whole world, comes from Me. And the splendor of the moon and the splendor of fire are also from Me.)

From Rama to Ravana
The same portrait processed in different ways can bring out different facet of not just the photograph but of the person and his personality itself. When you look carefully, deep into a picture...when you get into the skin of it what do you see ? You may discover shades of holiness of an angel to colors of sinfulness of a demon right there inside of a being. From Rama to Ravana...all in there ! May be a good picture not only capture the body but also the soul.
P.S : The portrait above was just used as an instance. People around him very well knows what he is..an angel or a demon :-)...
